Recital of Amartuvshin Enkhbat

Opera with Champagne and Canapes featuring the Mongolian baritone Enkhbat Amartuvshin was a success!

Fresh from his recital at the first Festival of Voice in Cardiff, where he performed successfully at the Reardon Smith Theatre, the hugely-admired Mongolian baritone Amartuvshin Enkhbat again gave another brilliant performance at the Savile Club in London presented by the Cultural Envoy of Mongolia Unurma Janchiv in collaboration with the Mongolian Embassy in London at the Opera with Champagne and Canapes afternoon.

The recital in London was given by Amartuvshin, who was made an Honorary Artist of Mongolia at the early age of 24. Last year he was the winner the Audience Prize at BBC Cardiff Singer of the World and he returned to the UK with the wonderful Welsh pianist Llyr Williams, who is an official accompanist at BBC Cardiff Singer of the World.

The programme included many famous arias from the well-known operas such as Pagliacci by Leoncavallo, Andrea Chenier by Giordano and Verdi's Rigoletto and Un ballo in maschera. Amartuvshin had also sung some pieces of music composed by well-known Mongolian composers, which were well received. They were Lodon's aria from Tears of Lama, a famous Mongolian opera by Biligjargal and Genghis Khan's aria from the opera Genghis Khan by Sharav. Jantsannorov's romance Your tears, which was one of the favourites at last year's BBC Cardiff Singer of the World, was again well received. Amartuvshin noted that he loved the acoustics of the venue and that this day will be one of the most memorable days in his life.He thanked the audience and the organisers, namely Unurmaa Janchiv, Azkhuu Tsamba and his family and the Mongolian Embassy for their support.

Team at Creative Curating and Azaa Studio were behind the organisation of this successful event.
